Atmospheric Memory

Show Control Programmer / Deputy Audio Engineer

Venue: UNC Memorial Hall

Lead Artist: Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Sound Designer: Dan Stelle

For this interactive art installation of Atmospheric Memory with Carolina Performing Arts, I served as the Show Control Programmer and Deputy Audio Engineer. Throughout the process, I maintained and modified a QLab playlist containing nearly 1500 cues that handled audio playback and show control for the 45-minute show that played continuously throughout the day. The workspace sent messages out via OSC and midi to the audio console, lighting console, multiple media servers, and artwork control computers across the installation. In tandem with QLab, we used a custom Max patch to handle randomization for sounds that play in response to audience interactions.
